Back to School
Welcome to Literacy in the Library where we encourage students to explore the world around them through both digital and print materials and resources. Our goal is to inspire students to stretch beyond their comfort zones and grow into passion driven individuals that create learning experiences for the community around them!
Book Care
Students visit every week and books are due that next visit unless they are renewing, but must bring books in each time.
Literacy muscle building!
Parents have a special role of helping their child think through their books and become critical thinkers. By asking your child questions on what is happening in the story, you will make them practice the skill of inferencing and making predictions. See below for a guide to help you while you read with your child.
Book Care
- Keep books where you can remember to bring them back at next class visit
- Keep them away from food, drinks, babies and pets
- Keep crayons, markers and tape away from book pages
- Keep bookmarks to save your place
- Enjoy reading, sharing and taking care of books!
